Choose the Eclipse Java EE Edition – Windows 64bit

Frequently mistaken for the Java Edition.

1) Under the blue picture menu Downloads link on the left choose 64 bit or 32 bit based on your practice computer.

2) Right click on the zip file and choose “Open” or “Open With … Windows Explorer“… and copy the eclipse folder into C:java-tools (make the java-tools directory if needed) by Right Click and Paste.

 

3) Using the Windows Explorer (the folder icon not Internet Explorer the world icon) find the eclipse executable (has the icon) in the C:java-toolseclipse directory and right click and choose Send To… Desktop (create shortcut)

 

4) You Can Now Run Eclipse Using the Shortcut on Your Desktop

 

5) Use Workspace: c:java-toolsjavarun{class specific folder}>
Be sure to add the class folder:

  • Java 1: c:java-toolsjavarunjava1-wksp
  • Java 2: c:java-toolsjavarunjava2-wksp
  • JWAD 1: c:java-toolsjavarunjwad1-wksp
  • JWAD 2: c:java-toolsjavarunjwad2-wksp
  • Spring: c:java-toolsjavarunspring-wksp
  • Spring MVC I: c:java-toolsjavarunsmvc1-wksp
  • Spring MVC II: c:java-toolsjavarunsmvc2-wksp
